1. Four-Square

2. Balloonist
For this game, all you need is two teams. The number of players on each team is flexible, but try to keep the teams the same size. The goal of the game is to keep a balloon up in the air without letting it touch the ground. You’ll be amazed at how many hours this game can pass in the backyard!
3. Arbor Ball
If you have a grassy, tree-filled area in your backyard, you have the perfect spot to play some Arbor Ball! You need a soccer ball and teams of five members. The goal of the game is to punt the ball through the trees into the opposing side’s goals, so be sure to keep an eye out for stray, flying balls!
4. Yoga Ball
Looking for an alternative to playing basketball in the backyard? You can try playing Yoga Ball! Instead of using a basketball, use a giant yoga ball. A hula hoop can be attached to a tree to act as a basket. Your kids will have a great time bouncing the giant ball around the yard and trying to score on each other.

The point of this game is to throw balls into circular apparatuses for points. This can be done with one to multiple players and whatever buckets or cups are available. Try arranging the cups into various shapes to make the game more interesting.
6. Phasketboot
Phasketboot combines basketball, football, and ultimate frisbee. This is a collaborative game that has become very popular and is starting to hit gym classes everywhere. You need a basketball hoop and a grassy area.
The goal of the game is to make a basket, but while avoiding being tackled and dealing with goaltending, which is allowed. While in the grass, the gameplay is similar to football, and once a team reaches the pavement, basketball rules apply.
7. Plush-Bouncing

For this game, you need a ball and a couple of hula hoops. Each team has a “banker” or goalkeeper. From there, each team will try to get the ball into the hula hoop on the opposing team’s side.
